The mathematics laboratory is a place where anybody can experiment and explore patterns and ideas. It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching and learning material. The materials are meant to be used both by the students on their own and with their teacher to explore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop an interest in mathematics. The activities create interest among students or in anybody who wants to explore, and test some of their ideas, beliefs about mathematics.

Today every trait is compared and evaluated and calculations have become the paramount criteria of success. In this kind of a scenario the need to be best at figures is felt. At this centre we try to make the students the best friend of figures and formulae. This centre develops Projects and Case Studies for the students, under experienced and proficient supervisions. Current understanding about mathematics education tells us that activities with concrete materials lie at the heart of mathematical competencies and is a key to climbing up the steps of abstraction. Children need to first have a meaning, make sense of the world around them –develop number sense and spatial sense-before they can successfully grasp the concepts of mathematics.
